The Meadows (concert venue)
The New England Dodge Music Center (formerly known as "The Meadows") is an outdoor/indoor amphitheater located in Hartford, Connecticut. The capacity of the venue is 30,000. The indoor area holds 7,500 and the outdoor lawn area holds an additional 22,500 during the summer months making it one of the largest amphitheaters in the country.
The amphitheater's design is unique in that it features a rolling door which can be closed during the winter months allowing year round performances.
Notable performances include O.A.R., David Bowie, R.E.M., Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Disturbed, Nine Inch Nails, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Roger Waters, Spice Girls, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, John Mayer System of a Down, Korn, and Stone Sour
Major tours make frequent stops at the Dodge, including Ozzfest, Family Values Tour,Projekt Revolution and other, one-off tours.
