Industrial Distribution
Industrial Distribution (ISSN 0019-8153) was originally founded 1911 as Mill Supplies, and changed its name in the 1930's to better reflect the changing industrial marketplace.
The magazine is published once a month with a circulation of more than 30,000 subscribers, including owners, managers, and sales personnel. The magazine covers industrial and construction distributors who buy, stock, and sell products manufactured by their suppliers and needed by end-user companies in manufacturing, construction, mining, oil fields, and utilities.
Industrial Distribution offers six regularly distributed eNewsletters: ID Channel Report, Strictly for Sales, Distributor Management & Operations, The Electrical Report, International Report, Idea File and Supplier Web Locator, each tailored to a specific area within the distribution industry.
Industrial Distribution compiles the 50 biggest distributors by sales volume with the acclaimed "Big 50" list. The list includes the companies' products, location, number of employees, and annual sales.
Each year the magazine also publishes the salary compensation study, based on responses from distributors throughout the country. Annual salary, percent of increase, change in job function, years of experience, years with distributorship, years in present job, hours worked, job satisfaction, benefits received, current concerns, and level of education are all covered in the survey.
The managing editor is Victoria Kickham and the editorial offices are located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
